I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Matthew 5:13-16
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
Jesus instructs us in His teaching that we are to be the Salt and Light of the world. But not in the literal definition of the words. He is using an analogy. When Jesus says salt and light, He means that we are to stand out from other people. We are to be kind and friendly to show Jesus’ love to everyone. Jesus’ love is not just for us but for everyone who wants to believe in Him.
What is one way that we can be kind to the people around us this week?
Why do you think it is important to be kind to the people around us? (Jesus loved us first, and we are to share that love with everyone)
Thank you Jesus for always teaching us. I pray that we will follow you always. Help us to be the Salt and Light of the world through our words and actions. Let us love everyone the same way you love us. We are so thankful for your love, It is in your name we pray, Amen.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Matthew 7:24-27
24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.
25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.
26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand.
27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”
Jesus teaches us that following His words is like building our lives on a strong foundation. A house built on solid rock can withstand storms, just like a life built on Jesus can handle challenges and difficulties. When we listen to Him and follow His teachings, we grow stronger in our faith and stay close to Him, no matter what comes our way.
What is one way you can build your life on Jesus this week?
Why do you think it’s important to have a strong foundation in Jesus?
Thank you, Jesus, for teaching us how to build our lives on your truth. Help us to listen to your words and follow them so that we can stand strong no matter what happens. Thank you for being our solid rock and for loving us so much. Please guide us every day as we grow in our faith and trust in you. It’s in your name we pray, Amen.

Matthew 11:28-30
28 Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”
Jesus invites us to come to Him when we feel tired or overwhelmed. He knows that life can be hard, but He promises to help us carry our burdens and give us rest. When we trust in Jesus and let Him guide us, He gives us peace and strength to keep going. He doesn’t want us to feel weighed down. He wants us to live with joy and hope in Him.
What is one worry you can give to Jesus this week?
How can trusting Jesus bring you peace when life feels overwhelming?
Thank you, Jesus, for inviting us to come to you when we are tired or feeling overwhelmed. We are so grateful that you give us rest and peace. Help us to trust you with our worries and to rely on your strength every day. Thank you for your gentle and loving heart. We love you, and it’s in your name we pray, Amen.
I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. John 14:6
Matthew 18:1-41
About that time the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Who is greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?”
2 Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them.
3 Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.
4 So anyone who becomes as humble as this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus wants us to have hearts like children. Children trust easily, love deeply, and don’t think they are better than others. Jesus is teaching us that it’s not about being the best or most important, but about being humble and kind. When we trust Jesus and love others, we are doing what He wants us to do.
What does it mean to have a heart that is humble like a child?
How can we show humility and kindness to others this week?
Thank you, Jesus, for teaching us the importance of being humble. Help us to have hearts that are full of trust, kindness, and love like a child. Show us how to rely on you and serve others with humility. We are so thankful for your example and your love. Please guide us to grow closer to you every day. We love you, and it’s in your name we pray, Amen.
