As parents, we have the privilege and responsibility of shepherding our children into a love for Jesus. Scripture tells us to “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6). While this doesn't guarantee that doing our part as parents means that our children will automatically exhibit strong faith, this reminds us that habits that we teach our children become deeply embedded in their hearts and their lives.

Psalm 119:105 tells us that “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” This verse emphasizes the guidance and direction that the Bible provides. God's Word is absolute Truth, a source of guidance and clarity in navigating life's paths. One of the greatest responsibilities you have as a parent is to help your kids love God’s Word and build their life on the solid foundation of His Truth.
Biblical truth is always understood best through relationships. Our God is a God of relationships and not rules. Before we can begin Faith Talks (family devotions) in our homes, we first need to create open and transparent relationships with our kids. Parents who have a heart connection with their kids are more likely to influence them spiritually. Here are a few tips to develop heart connections with your kids.
